Terms of Service
Welcome to MillatApp and Millat Humsafar App (collectively, the "Services" or "Apps"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and UmmatGroup, MillatApp and other applications launched by UmmatGroup ("we," "us," "our").
By downloading, accessing, or using our Apps, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
We are a platform for community networking and self-discovery. We do not conduct criminal background checks or verify the absolute truthfulness of user profiles. You are solely responsible for verifying potential matches.
1. Eligibility & Local Laws
- Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to use the Millat Humsafar App.
- Marriage Age Compliance: Users must strictly adhere to the legal marriage age laws of their respective countries. In India, users seeking matrimony must ensure they meet the legal minimum age (currently 21 years for men and 18 years for women). Profiles found violating this will be suspended immediately.
- Compliance: You agree to comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws, including India's Information Technology Act, 2000 and Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
2. Financial Prohibition
The Services are for information and networking purposes only. Users must NOT request, pay, or transfer money to any other user via the platform or in connection with any interaction initiated on the platform. We are not responsible for any financial losses incurred by users who violate this term. We do not charge fees for matchmaking; beware of anyone claiming to represent us asking for money.
3. Prohibited Content & Zero Tolerance Policy
We have a Zero Tolerance Policy for the following. Engaging in these activities will result in immediate account termination and reporting to authorities:
- CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material): Uploading, sharing, or soliciting any content depicting sexual exploitation of minors.
- Violence & Terrorism: Promoting terrorism, organized crime, or inciting violence against individuals or groups.
- Hate Speech: Content that attacks people based on race, ethnicity, religious affiliation, caste, sexual orientation, sex, gender, or gender identity.
- Harassment: Stalking, bullying, or intimidating other users.
4. Law Enforcement & Legal Cooperation
- Data Sharing: If a user is found indulging in activities that violate these Terms, our Privacy Policy, or the law (including CSAM, terrorism, or fraud), we reserve the right to share your personal details, activity logs, and device information with legal and law enforcement agencies sua sponte (voluntarily) or upon request.
- User Obligation: If there is a lawful demand or investigation regarding your account, you agree to fully cooperate with legal, law enforcement, and investigation agencies.
- Costs & Liability: You explicitly agree that any legal costs, penalties, or consequences arising from such investigations are solely your responsibility. Millat Digital Initiatives shall not be liable for any legal costs or damages you incur as a result of your unlawful actions.
5. User-Generated Content (UGC) & Liability
- Ownership: You retain ownership of the content (photos, profiles, messages) you post. However, by posting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display such content in connection with providing the Service.
- Intermediary Liability (India): As an intermediary under Section 79 of the IT Act, 2000, we are not liable for any third-party content uploaded by users. We act only as a facilitator.
6. Privacy and Data Protection
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Apps, you consent to the collection and use of your information as detailed therein.
7. Matrimonial Specific Disclaimers
For the Millat Humsafar App:
- We are not a marriage broker or agent. We provide a platform for users to connect.
- We do not guarantee that you will find a partner.
- We are not responsible for the conduct of any user, online or offline. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, UmmatGroup, MillatApp, Other Applications from UmmatGroup, Its trustees, founders, employees, contractors, board members and any other person associated with the applications shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delhi, India.
